Dr. Meredith Voyles DVM, MS, DACVO
The Equine Eye Specialist strives to provide the best ophthalmic care for your horse. We follow a patient-centered, team-based model. We collaborate with the members of each patient’s healthcare team: The Equine Eye Specialist, your primary care veterinarian, and the horse owner and trainer. Our goal is to educate and inform everyone involved to determine the best care for your horse. The Equine Eye Specialist prides itself in being honest, positive, and approachable in all aspects of your horse’s care.
Our team includes Dr. Meredith Voyles, board certified veterinary ophthalmologist and owner of the practice. Dr. Voyles is grateful to have Caitlin Mountain as her experienced technician. Dr. Voyles and Caitlin have worked together for many years to create a patient-centered practice that uses evidence-based medicine in an environment of education and true compassion.
We can schedule your horse’s examination in several middle Tennessee equine hospitals and are also available for farm calls depending on location.
The Equine Eye Specialist strongly believes in the power of collaborative medicine and the high level of care that is provided to our patients when veterinarians consistently communicate with each other. Collaboration does not solely have to exist with referrals of a patient. Dr. Voyles and her team aim to be an available, reliable resource for all ophthalmology related questions. Telemedicine consultations are available and will involve the horse owner and primary veterinarian to help determine the best ophthalmic treatment for your horse. Both initial and follow up telemedicine examinations are available. Please submit all information requested in the Telemedicine portion, and a staff member will contact you regarding pricing and any additional information we need.
Forms are available on this website for referring patients, scheduling appointments, telemedicine examination requests, and requesting medication refills. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
